     Sandy Land small Family Child Care is dedicated to helping raise happy, polite, self-assured children.  I believe all children are special and full of promise. Childhood is a short and precious time. It is a time to learn about Love, Trust and the joy of exploration.

When it is impossible for a parent to stay home, there is no better place to experience these things than in a Quality Family Child care setting. The close attention each individual child receives in a small group setting, helps children build a foundation for a lifetime of achievement.

I have enjoyed raising my son who is now a wonderful young man. I am happy to be able to provide that same high quality of care to the children and families that join my Child Care family.

California state licensed for 29 years with no deficiencies.

Member of Monterey County Family Child Care Association for 21 years.

President of Monterey County Family Child Care Association from 1993-1995 and again in 2007.

Current CPR and First Aide training.

Educated in:
-Health and Safety
-Infectious disease control
-Childhood nutrition

Completed three units of Child development classes.

The one I think is most important, I adore my job, it is my life my passion, and it shows.

Preschool activities are planned for the children and include, monthly themes that focus on introducing, ABC’s, Science, Reading readiness, Number Concepts, Colors, & Shapes.

Social skills as well as manners are encouraged during daily activities that include,  Calendar, “Talkie Time”, Story time, Group Games, Media play, Art, Puzzles, Music and Dance, Dramatic Play, and of course Supervised free play time.

Days filled full of fun and learning with the benefit of a small group overseen by a dedicated caregiver.

For 20 years I have written a Monthly newsletter. “The Sandy Land Press” Designed with parents in mind.

I host a web page with photo’s, and more. The children participate in the design of sandyland.net, it is their place.

Email pictures of your child daily are available.

There are two visually stimulating play rooms. Each dedicated 100% to the children’s learning play & delight.

A large selection of toys, games, books, and activities add variety to play and encourage  creativity.

Safe fenced outside play area, with plenty to explore and discover. Everything to thrill from balls to water play.

Big clean family kitchen.

Rates $171 per week or $737 per Month.

Hours Monday - friday 7am - 5:30 pm

Closed Holidays New Year's Day ~ Martin Luther King Day ~ Presidents Day ~  Good Friday ~ Memorial Day ~ Independence Day ~  Labor Day ~ Columbus Day  ~ Veterans Day ~ Thanksgiving & the Friday after ~ Christmas  Eve ~ Christmas Day ~ New Years Eve. Day Care schedule isMonday through Friday. When a holiday falls on a non-workday  -- Saturday or Sunday -- the holiday will be observed on Monday (if the holiday falls on Sunday) or Friday (if the holiday falls on Saturday).
