Sandy Land Family Child Care is dedicated to helping raise happy, polite, self-assured children. I believe all children are special and full of promise. Childhood is a short and precious time. It is a time to learn about Love, Trust and the joy of exploration. When it is impossible for a parent to stay home, there is no better place to experience these things than in a quality Family Child care setting. I have enjoyed raising my son who is now a wonderful young man. I am happy to be able to provide that same high quality of care to the children and families that join my Child Care family. Meals consisting of hot whole and organic foods monitored by Monterey Bay Agency.
Preschool activities are planned for the children and include, monthly themes that focus on introducing, ABC’s, Science, Reading readiness, Number Concepts, Colors, & Shapes.
There is a daily art project that is displayed on the art wall coming into the day care.
Each parent will be given an art work folder to bring home at the end of the month with all their childs art work.
Potty training when child is ready.
Each child is provided a nap cot with sheet, pillow and blanket of their choice for Quiet time each day.
Praise given for good behavior, to reinforce it. Redirection for problem behavior, to guide it.
Days full of fun and learning with the benefit of a small group overseen by one dedicated caregiver.

Hours of care 6:45 AM - 5:30 PM -- Monday thru Friday
Monthly tuition is $740. which works out to $170. per week. $34 a day or a meer $3.40 per hour.
I am California state licensed for 28 years with no deficiencies.
As an active member of the Monterey County Family Child Care Association for the past 25 years I have held many offices, while continuing my education in the child care field. I am currently the 2009 President an office I have also held in 2006, 1995, and 1996.
I maintain Current CPR and First Aide training.
I am educated in:

-Infectious disease control
-Childhood nutrition
I have completed three years of Child development classes.
The one I think is most important, I adore my job, it is my life my passion, and it shows.
Every space of our family child care home is dedicated to the children’s learning play & delight.
Bright & big the clean family kitchen welcomes all.
The “Ducky bathroom” encourages potty training success. While also providing a clean diaper changing environment.
Large and small motor skill toys for all ages in the “toy room”. Come roll in the pile of plush animals in our igloo, or cook a meal in our modern toy kitchen, work on the work bench or ride a stick horse, the possibilities are endless.
Games, books, puzzles, musical instruments, a dress up closet & table top activities wait in the “purple room”
Birds chirp, fish swim & the media center has an ever changing slide show in the “living room”
Our large outside play area beckons young ones to come explore & discover the ship, castle, bikes, slides, cottage, push toys, teeter totter, balls, sand & water play.
The “green room” provides a quiet place for the youngest ones among us to rest and rejuvenate.

Our environment is set up to provide variety to play to encourage learning and creativity.
